The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarships 2019/2020 for post-graduate African students

The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship provides financial support to post-graduate African students who have been accepted onto MBA programmes at the top-10 leading Business Schools in the world. The Financial Times MBA Global Ranking for 2019 lists the top ten schools as; Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, INSEAD, University of Pennsylvania: Wharton, Ceibs, London Business School, University of Chicago: Booth, MIT: Sloan, Columbia Business School and University of California at Berkeley: Haas.
All successful African MBA applicants to the top ten Business Schools (as ranked by the Financial Times) are eligible to receive The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship regardless of domicile. The grant is awarded to successful candidates prior to the annual intake for that Business School. The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship is intended to provide additional financial support to help African students bridge some of the financial burden attached to taking on MBA programmes, it will not be enough to act as the primary source of funding for these programmes.
Launched in 2011, The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship aims to help up to five students a year. Since launching, scholarships have been awarded to 35 students in total attending Harvard Business School, INSEAD, London Business School, MIT:Sloan, Stanford Graduate School of Business, University of California at Berkeley:Haas, University of Chicago Booth, IE Business School Madrid, University of Cambridge: Judge Business School and Wharton University of Pennsylvania. Our scholars have come from Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe, Ghana and Morocco.

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Postgraduate & Postdoctoral Research Programme 2019 (CAD 32,000 per annum)

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences – Research (AIMS Research) is pleased to invite prospective postdoctoral fellows who hold a PhD degree in any mathematical science discipline to apply for one of fifteen postdoctoral fellowships available through the AIMS Postdoctoral Research Fellows Program in climate change science. This is in response to an urgent need to increase the number of high-end researchers who, with limited supervision, can conduct cutting-edge mathematical science research in Africa.
AIMS postdoctoral research fellows in climate change science will each benefit from financial support of up to CAD 32,000 per annum for a maximum duration of two years, extendable subject to approval. They will be based at one of the seven existing AIMS Research Centres, including Quantum Leap Africa. Beneficiaries may be affiliated to any recognized institution of higher learning located in the same country as the host AIMS Research Centre. Funding will be provided for fellows and their supervisors to attend one research school that will take place at AIMS Rwanda.

Eligibility

  • Applicants can be from any country.
  • Applicants must hold at least a PhD degree (or a recognized equivalent) in any field related to mathematical sciences before the start date of this position.
  • Applicants should be interested in undertaking research within the climate change sciences and its related areas.
  • Knowledge/interest in mathematical modelling would be an advantage.
  • Applicants must be open-minded, and must be willing to conduct their research at their preferred AIMS Research Centre, or a designated partner institution in the same host country. The designated partner institution could be an academic/research institution or a non-academic institution (e.g. industry).

Financial Information

This is a two year extendable research position with a maximum total cost to AIMS of CAD 32,000 per annum. The cost includes a return flight ticket from the candidate’s home/institution to the AIMS Research Centre, tuition (if applicable), visa application, accommodation, living support, and health insurance.

  • Applicants with certified scores in Korean (TOPIK) or English (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS) will be given preference.
  • Applicants in the field of engineering, technology, and natural science might be given preference.

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) – South Korea, is offering full tuition fee + monthly allowance for living expenses & health insurance scholarships for all international students from any country (except South Korea) commencing undergraduate study in Spring & Fall 2018.

The scholarships will cover full tuition fee for 8 semesters, monthly allowance for living expenses and provide health insurance. Scholarship is available for the duration of your study: 8 semesters. The Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC) Joint Venture in pursuance of its Corporate Social Responsibility invites suitably qualified applicants for its 2017/2018 Session Tertiary Scholarship Scheme.

Category of Awards
  • Host Communities Merit Award - For applicants strictly from NAOC Host Communities
  • National Merit Award - For applicants from Non-Host communities 

Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST be:
  • Registered Full TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
  • Certified 100 level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in 2017/2018 academic session)
  • Application is open to 100 level students only.
  • Only Indigenes of NAOC Host Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences and Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.
The following categories of students should not apply:
  • 200 level students and above
  • Current beneficiaries of similar Awards from other Companies and Agencies
  • Dependants of NAOC/NAE/AENR
Aptitude Test
The aptitude test will take place at designated centers to be communicated to applicants on a later date and applicants are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from Aptitude test centres.

Fully Funded Doctoral Scholarships in Engineering, Kochi University of Technology, Japan




Fully funded scholarships are available for all students commencing Doctoral degree (3 years) in 2018 & 2019 at Department of Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Kochi University of Technology – Japan.
The scholarships will cover your entrance examination fee, tuition fee, enrollment fee, monthly living expenses, travel expenses and initial living costs. The scholarships are for 1 year and can be extended up to 3 years subject to satisfactory progress. The program will be conducted in English.
